Exam prep
Medical school flashcards from your own lectures
Most med students end up on Anki with a premade deck and a backlog of lectures they never carded. Quizcard is for the second half of that problem: getting this week’s lectures into cards without spending the evening typing.
How it fits with Anki
Many students use both. Quizcard generates the cards from the lecture PDF, keeps the histology slides and pathways on the cards, and attaches the source with highlights and a tutor. Export to CSV and import into Anki for its scheduler, or study in Quizcard directly by block and topic.
What you get from a lecture PDF
- Question-and-answer cards grouped by the lecture’s sections.
- Figure cards: “identify this structure” with the image on the front, or a pathway diagram on the back of a mechanism card.
- A short explanation on each card, with a tutor that answers follow-ups from the same pages.
- Deep links back to the exact page in the PDF when a card needs context.
Organizing a preclinical year
- One folder per block (Cardio, Renal, Neuro…), one deck per lecture.
- Generate the same day the lecture is given; trim cards that duplicate the premade deck you already use.
- Study by folder before the block exam so topics interleave.
- Use search to find every card, note, and highlight that mentions a drug or pathway across all blocks.
Pricing for a heavy lecture load
Pro ($9.99/month) includes thirty generated documents a month and reads up to 100 pages of each, which covers a typical preclinical schedule. Manual cards and studying are free with no limits, and you can bring your own Anthropic key for unmetered generation.
Questions
Can I export to Anki?
Yes. Every deck exports to CSV with front, back, explanation, and topic columns, which Anki imports.
Does it work with scanned lecture PDFs?
Only if the PDF has a text layer. Most school-provided PDFs do; pure image scans need OCR first.
Can I share a block deck with classmates?
Yes. Publish it as a public page; others can study it online or copy it into their own account.
